쓰임Usage
Attaches after verbs and adjectives ending in a consonant other than ㄹ or the past -었-.
‘ㄹ’을 제외한 받침 있는 동사와 형용사 또는 ‘-었-’ 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.
예문Examples
날씨가 화창했으면 소풍을 갔으련마는 비가 와서 못 갔네.
If the weather had been nice, we would have gone on the picnic, but it rained so we couldn't.
너도 우리랑 같이 여행을 가면 좋으련마는 같이 못 가서 아쉽다.
It would have been great if you could have come on the trip with us, but it's a shame you couldn't.
어제만 공부를 열심히 했어도 시험을 더 잘 봤으련마는 이미 늦어 버렸다.
If I had studied hard yesterday, I would have done better on the exam, but it's too late now.
