What is the past tense of 받치다?
받쳤어요 in everyday polite speech, 받쳤습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 받쳐 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 받치다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 받칩니다, 받쳐, 받치니 all keep 받치 intact. Only the ending moves.
