How do you conjugate 다가오다 in Korean?

What is the past tense of 다가오다?
다가왔어요 in everyday polite speech, 다가왔습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 다가와 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
