How do you conjugate 두다 in Korean?
두다 (to leave (behind), let there be) is 둬요 in the polite 해요체, 둡니다 in formal 합니다체, 둬 in casual 반말 and 둔다 in the plain written style. The past is 뒀어요.
What is the past tense of 두다?
뒀어요 in everyday polite speech, 뒀습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 둬 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 두다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 둡니다, 둬, 두니 all keep 두 intact. Only the ending moves.
