What is the past tense of 정하다?
정핬어요 in everyday polite speech, 정핬습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 정하 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 정하다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 정합니다, 정하, 정하니 all keep 정하 intact. Only the ending moves.
