How do you conjugate 접다 in Korean?
접다 (to fold) is 접어요 in the polite 해요체, 접습니다 in formal 합니다체, 접어 in casual 반말 and 접는다 in the plain written style. The past is 접었어요.
What is the past tense of 접다?
접었어요 in everyday polite speech, 접었습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 접어 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 접다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 접습니다, 접어, 접으니 all keep 접 intact. Only the ending moves.
