How do you conjugate 지내다 in Korean?
지내다 (to spend (one's time), to pass time) is 지내요 in the polite 해요체, 지냅니다 in formal 합니다체, 지내 in casual 반말 and 지낸다 in the plain written style. The past is 지냈어요.
What is the past tense of 지내다?
지냈어요 in everyday polite speech, 지냈습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 지내 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 지내다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 지냅니다, 지내, 지내니 all keep 지내 intact. Only the ending moves.
