How do you conjugate 집다 in Korean?
집다 (to pick up) is 집어요 in the polite 해요체, 집습니다 in formal 합니다체, 집어 in casual 반말 and 집는다 in the plain written style. The past is 집었어요.
What is the past tense of 집다?
집었어요 in everyday polite speech, 집었습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 집어 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 집다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 집습니다, 집어, 집으니 all keep 집 intact. Only the ending moves.
