How do you conjugate 파다 in Korean?
파다 (to dig) is 파요 in the polite 해요체, 팝니다 in formal 합니다체, 파 in casual 반말 and 판다 in the plain written style. The past is 팠어요.
What is the past tense of 파다?
팠어요 in everyday polite speech, 팠습니다 formally. It is built from the 아/어 form 파 plus ㅆ, which is why an irregular stem shows its irregularity here.
Is 파다 a regular verb?
Yes. Its stem never changes shape: 팝니다, 파, 파니 all keep 파 intact. Only the ending moves.
