A connective ending used to express a fact or feeling, and add that there is an opposite or another characteristic in the following statement.

어떠한 사실이나 느낌을 나타내면서, 이와 반대되거나 또 다른 특성이 있음을 이어 말함을 나타내는 연결 어미.

쓰임Usage

Attaches after the copula 이다, verbs and adjectives or the honorific -으시-.

‘이다’, 동사와 형용사 또는 ‘-으시-’ 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.

예문Examples

그 영화의 내용은 독창적이고도 기발하였다.

The movie's plot was original and, at the same time, ingenious.
